My introduction to electronics and computers goes back to the excitement of choosing my first phone in the 8th grade. It was through playing around with it, installing a newer operating system, flashing more battery-efficient kernels and mods, even to the extent of bricking it (I couldn’t boot into the OS), that I realized – my future lies in the tech industry. Years later, I enrolled in SPIT to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering with a major in Electronics Engineering and a minor in Computer Engineering. The coursework was well-balanced, with a focus on both hardware and software concepts. This helped me understand the importance of having a profound understanding of hardware to write optimized software. The range of open elective options provided by SPIT was extensive, and it played a crucial role in helping me decide to switch majors to computer science for masters. The internship opportunities I received were invaluable, allowing me to gain industry experience and ultimately attend one of the top graduate schools in the US. During my four years at SPIT, I grew alongside my classmates through various projects, events, and competitions. This environment fostered my development and allowed me to broaden my horizons. I am deeply grateful for the esteemed faculty and supportive staff, who have guided and supported me every step of the way. It was an amazing journey at SPIT. The best part about college is a college campus, oculus, free space in college, and friends. I learned a lot during this time making new friends, studying late at night for exams, coding, major project, and all. In these four years of our college life, we have come across lots of struggles; be they our grades or adjusting to the environment and new friends. There were times when we faced problems such as learning to submit assignments online, making power-point presentations, presenting seminar papers, and being stressed for semester exams. At times we complained and said we missed our high school life. What we students need to learn from this is that in this ride, we are going to go through lots of bumps and face many problems and difficulties. However, at the end, we are also going to enjoy being at the top. It is up to us to choose whether we enjoy the ride, or simply waste our time complaining. College life is not as easy as we think. We need to be fully prepared to accept the challenges and tough situations thrown our way. These experiences have taught us how to lose gracefully and enjoy winning. Our college provides facilities like free Wi-Fi , library, labs with all modern equipment and good teachers, who use the latest technology to teach the students in digital classrooms. The college also has a canteen. We also have a medical facility, a college ground and Table Tennis Hall with various equipment. Faculty members in the college are very helpful. They always try to motivate the students and give practical knowledge. I enjoy our annual sports event Oculus. The bond between seniors and juniors is very strong.

My journey at SPIT has been bittersweet, started off great with new experiences and lifestyle and challenges. The uneasiness of what college you will be joining came to peace when I joined SPIT. Although not able to attend the college physically for two of the best years of any UG student due to the pandemic is very saddening, the first two years were very colorful and thrilling with friends & faculty also a bit irritating due to assignment and exams. From staying late working on a competition or doing an overnight organizing event, the short two years of physical college had been amazing and a life changing experience for me. I learned a lot of skills during the four years of my college and am thankful for all the peers for my growth who supported and competed with me. Thank you to the faculty, staff and the college for making us tough and learning the importance of doing hard work. Looking back, my only regret will be not being able to enjoy the last two years of my college on campus.

It is obvious to be unclear and unfamiliar with the ideas in your head. With every step you take in your life thinking that the next one will be clearer, we misjudge ourselves. We only move to the next when we’re sure of the previous (Unlike our question papers, those are a different story altogether). SPIT was one of those steps for me. As a typical 18 year old, I wanted to flourish with whatever I could after deciding to become an engineer. It isn’t easy or challenging or dire if one must assume it. It’s your choice and SPIT was mine. If your checklist consists of getting various opportunities, hands-on experience, strengthening technical knowledge, getting into hackathons, broadening your ideas towards further studies and being creative & intuitive then this is your place. You just have to be yourself. SPIT makes you and your thoughts stronger and shapes them to the core of what you want to become hereon. The opportunity to study on such a gorgeous campus, with a lake right next to you, is very unique. S.P.I.T. has been many things to me. When the world almost came to a standstill due to covid-19,SPIT was back up in the online mode immediately in almost 15 days. Here at SPIT there was never a hindrance when it comes to learning. Each teacher here has their own unique style of teaching and with so many different methods learning and applying those learnings becomes fun. Although this is the end of the road for me at SPIT, there are learnings that I am going to carry for life and in the future anything and everything I achieve I owe it to this fine institution of knowledge.

The journey at SPIT has been a wonderful experience. When I joined SPIT after finishing my diploma, I thought it would be difficult to get accustomed to a new college. But the extra efforts taken by teaching and non teaching staff helped us in getting back on track and get adapted to this new environment quickly. The curriculum is designed as such to get the best out of the students and help them flourish in life. The value added courses such as ABL, SEVA has been beneficial in my development as a student as well as a human being. The participation in the various National Level competitions such as IICDC, EYANTRA, BSEImpact has been a huge learning curve in terms of thinking differently and in terms of management. The Electronics department has helped us by encouraging and providing support for participating in these competitions. The culture and environment at SPIT is something that is no where else to be found. The Always-learning attitude and competitive environment has helped me in striving harder for Excellence. The whole course was designed in such a way that I found time and resources to explore my interests in technology and science. I learned industry level skills from the SCOPE courses and explored and applied them in various competitions and events hosted in the college and elsewhere. All of this resulted in my getting a good rank in gate as well as a good placement in the biggest of the Big Four Companies that is Deloitte, USI. I remember the day I first entered SPIT campus for my admission through institute rounds. I was excited and happy because I was going to be a part of this family soon. Since that day, this roller coaster journey has been thrilling. My past four years at SPIT have been filled with memorable experiences and exuberance. The faculty here is very good and they are always encouraging us to push ourselves to the limit. The faculty here not just focus on a student’s career but also their personality development, extracurricular and co-curricular skills. Hence, at SPIT we have a lot of events taking place to enhance these skills and also fests where all of the students get to showcase their talents, be it singing, dancing, drama, organizing an event, etc. Sports are also a part of student’s development and hence college gives us a push to participate at State level, National level, Intra-college, Inter-college sports events. The laboratories here are very good and to make sure that lab sessions function smoothly, there are excellent lab assistants. Not to forget the efforts taken by the training and placement office and coordinators to place almost every individual who appeared in the process. It is truly an honor to be a part of the SPIT family!

The journey in Sardar Patel Institute of Technology was filled with a variety of challenges right from the First Year. The best thing of SPIT was that learning was not constricted to the four walls of the classroom, I got opportunities to gain multitudes of experiences to make choices in my career and at the same time participating in various events and competitions to develop my technical as well as my interpersonal skills. It was a bit challenging at times but I slowly got acclimatized to the functioning of the department. The third-year was the most crucial and challenging year as the things I learnt had to be put into practice. The S.C.O.P.E courses, ABL Activities and Liberal Arts were extremely helpful as the practical and management skills that I had learnt throughout could be applied in my projects and the competitions that I had participated in. I was actively involved in the college cultural committees with the college editorial, the photography team and the college festival which gave me an enriching experience and helped develop my team collaboration and leadership skills. All these skills and experience helped in my placements which helped me secure an internship and job at Quantiphi as a Business Analyst and was the perfect foundation throughout my final semester internship. I express my gratitude to my project mentors, Dr Surendra Rathod and Prof. Govind Haldankar who have helped me and my team members in our Action Research and Major Projects. I had a wonderful life in this alma mater which I will cherish life long, the experience here not only improved my knowledge in Electronics domain per se but also broadened the scope of my thinking, preparing me in unpredictable ways for my career. The exposure I had here was really good.
When I joined this bachelor’s program I was very curious about internal functioning of all the automated and “intelligent” hardware that we see around, studying in Electronics Department proved to be a great stepping stone for me to explore them. Final year Project and ARP Projects helped me apply, what is taught in the curriculum, in solving real life problems.
Professors of this department always encouraged me to think and implement new technologies and observe every detail in broader scope, their determination and perseverance was a great inspiration throughout this BE course. The time spent, or rather earned, with my colleagues and professors have now become an essential part of my life.

My journey with SPIT has been a tremendously wonderful experience. Not only did I learn to balance my studies with various in-semester extra-curricular activities but also took part in a lot of National technical competitions such as EYANTRA and IICDC. This college has provided me so much in terms of knowledge, intellect and exposure. The best in-semester course which I got very fond of was Design Thinking and Emotional Intelligence at the workplace. And if it were not SPIT, I would not have ever even thought of publishing a Patent, but now I have 3 successfully published patents at IP India with support of my faculties. Finally, the decision of making the final semester as a 6-months long internship has been completely fruitful. This internship gave our careers a big kick start! I will always be thankful to all my teachers for being there and helping me throughout the Engineering.

My journey with Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Andheri started in the year 2017 after successfully completing my Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Government Polytechnic, Mumbai. SPIT has played a very important and crucial role in moulding my career and always keeping me on the right path. In the beginning being a Diploma Candidate we thought it would be difficult for us to adapt the culture of this new organization which would affect our grades but in reality it was a total contrary, the immense amount of support from all the Teaching, Non-Teaching staff and fellow batch mates gave a good healthy start which helped us in getting easily adaptable to the organization. SPIT focuses on an overall grooming of a candidate in every aspect and not only academics, this was one of the key reasons behind me choosing the organization for my Under Graduation. The inclusion of SCOPE, SEVA and Activity Based Learning catered in the overall development of a candidate. Talking about extracurricular activities the organization provides a lot of opportunities for students who wants to take part and showcase their talents. Also, they could lead different committees depending on their area of interest.
Also the Introduction of Final Semester Long Internship was very useful as it provided me a head start in developing the skills required by the organization and getting acquainted in the corporate world. Overall, my journey with SPIT was a very fruitful one as I take a lots of this which add up to my skills whether it be Technical or Non-Technical.

I sincerely thank SPIT for all its constant guidance  and support along my four years of study in the electronics department. The quality of education and the use of modern technology for teaching helped me a lot. Use of licensed software like Cadence VIrtuoso have enabled me to pursue specific domains like VLSI Design at the undergraduate level and thus have an edge over others.SPIT also has active participation in social activities which further strengthens ones resume.

The courses I’ve learned here, especially those relating to circuit design and VLSI design have encouraged me into applying for a Master’s degree for those particular specializations. Entering SPIT Electronics division was my goal when I was preparing for my MH CET examination in 12th. When I finally entered SPIT it was like a dream come true. I was very amazed to meet people like me here, yet they were different in some of the other ways. Each one of them possessed one different quality than just excelling at academics. The professors here are very co-operative and motivating. The learning experience was quite different as it where we learnt advanced theory and its practical application. SEVA program helped e lean about my Social Responsibilities. My knowledge about LabVIEW programming which I had obtained due to SCOPE program was appreciated when I was a trainee at an Electronics Industry. I have seen myself transform into a knowledgeable problem solver who is well aware of his social responsibilities because of the things I learnt in SPIT. We were able to access labs 24×7. By entering S.P.I.T, I was assured of my career. I remember the day of my admission, back in 2015. It was 2nd of August on which institute round 3 was scheduled and fortunately I got through. Since then the roller coaster journey has begun. I was quite lucky to have met good people in SPIT with whom I built a team, participated in competitions, won prizes and also evolved in many aspects. I am very thankful to the teachers who made us push out limits and extract the best out of ourselves, in terms of problem solving, logic building etc. and sometimes to strive for every mark in the internal assignments. The journey was accompanied by our life savior lab assistants, who took care of every instrument/software and made it available to us at every time. Not to forget the efforts taken by the training and placement office and coordinators to place almost every individual who appeared in the process. The teaching staff offered me an excellent academic environment with constant motivation and support. The day I secured admission in S.P.I.T was when I knew , I am going to be a part of a premium engineering institution. Even my experience turned out to be pretty much the same , thanks to the diligent faculty and sharp and hardworking batchmates. I believe this itself is a plus point of being in a top ranked institute. Every other person around you compels you to deliver your best at all times in order to compete with some of the genius brains in town. I enjoyed the competition. It helped me become a better individual , I consider. Electronics department has always strived to deliver their very best in moulding the students to become better engineers. There were times when things got hectic and we were expected to function beyond our limits but all that was a part of learning process and undoubtedly it has prepared me to face even tougher challenges in future. For my masters program I have received an admit from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Communications major for the Fall’18 term. Bhagat, Prof. K. T. Talele are the gems of ETRX. There’s a lot to learn from them. S.P.I.T. gave me opportunities to participate in Technical competitions, Drama competitions, College Fest, thus contributing to my overall development and skills. All the professors and staff are very helpful and supportive. I’m currently doing my MS in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. S.P.I.T. On the first day of joining SPIT, I realized I had chosen the correct engineering institute and the correct stream too after listening to Dr. Rathod, HOD ETRX Department about the way engineers are about to change the upcoming future. Four years is a long time and yes, SPIT provides a great platform for learning and self-development. The faculties help in cultivating a positive approach towards academics which are accompanied by giving encouragement and support to participate in various technical competitions conducted by reputed Semi-Conductor companies like ARM as well as various technical workshops and paper presentations. I would say, this helped me a lot to bag an internship and a PPO by Siemens Ltd. The institute also provides excellent opportunities to excel in extra-curricular activities by giving exposure to managing cultural and technical festivals. The exposure to entrepreneurship because of IEDC and TBI are the icing on the cake!

I graduated from the electronics department of Sardar Patel Institute of Technology in July 2017. Being a part of electronics department has really given me lot of opportunities to develop my technical skills. I realized how fortunate we were to have been introduced to so many softwares with licensed versions during the lab sessions, and workshops conducted by the HoD then, that when I was into the training period of my company I had no problem while working on a few of them. The technical concepts learnt in Microprocessor and VLSI still help me today in understanding the working of the project I am currently involved in. The support provided by the faculty and lab assistants during the final year project is also worth mentioning. Nonetheless it was a challenging but a beautiful learning experience.

The height of a building is decided by the strength of its base and I believe SPIT Electronics has provided me with this solid foundation that I require to achieve great heights. The department has always been extremely supportive and has constantly encouraged us to take part in competitions, presentations, publish papers and attend workshops. This has not only helped us develop our technical skills but also develop an overall personality which is required in the outside world. Courses like VHDL, PLC and MATLAB outside classroom hours to give students an opportunity to learn beyond the prescribed syllabus was a great initiative by the department.

Studying in the electronics department of S.P.I.T., under the tutelage of professors like Dr. Rathod, Dr. Rao, Parmar Sir, Bhagat Sir, Dr. Gharpure, proved to be a great stepping stone for me in the field of electronics. The coursework in VLSI, digital design and computer architecture, coupled with the invaluable hands-on experience gained while working on interesting projects, solidified my fundamentals and helped me smoothly transition into the Master’s of Science program in VLSI Design at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA.  I currently work in the industry, in the field of ASIC verification wherein I have to put to use, all that I have learned in both, my undergraduate and graduate studies, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the excellent start to the journey at S.P.I.T.

It was an honor to have studied in Electronics Department, S.P.I.T. Studying here helped me develop academically, professionally and socially. My professors mentored me to build a strong base of knowledge which was helpful in all walks of life. Technologically updated labs helped me to practically verify my knowledge and apply it to my projects. Activities like Robocon gave me a platform to apply my knowledge on practical systems and further improve my understanding of concepts in fields of circuit design, embedded programming, industrial design, control systems and many more. Working in Robocon also taught team work, time and financial management, which is useful in today’s competitive industry.
