Other activities carried out in Electronics Engineering Department (2018-19):

The various faculty development programmes organized by the department are,

  1. AICTE Sponsored One week STTP on “Front End VLSI Design and Verification” (24th June-29th June 2019).
  2. One Day Workshop Under PMMMNMTT conducted by ICT On “Python” at IIT Bombay (22nd June 2018).
  3. SPIT-ISTE one day FDP On “LDRA: Embedded Software Safety & Security Tool) (3rd May 2019).
  4. SPIT-ISTE one day FDP on “Machine Learning for Big Data Analytic Applications using MATLAB and Hardware Connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) with MATLAB and Simulink” (11th July 2018).
  5. One Day Workshop Under PMMMNMTT conducted by ICT “on Moodle on line learning system” at IIT Bombay (15th March 2019).
  6. SPIT-ISTE one week FDP on “Hands on Machine Learning & Deep Learning” (13-May-2019 to 18-May-19).
  7. Two Days Faculty Development Programme on “Continuous Quality Improvement” (13th & 14th March 2019).

  1. AICTE Sponsored Two Days National Seminar on “Technologies for Development of Rural Areas”(27thNov 2017 and 28th Nov 2017).
  2. AICTE-ISTE approved one week FDP conducted on “Open source tools for developing innovative things” (3rd July to 8th July, 2017).
  3. AICTE-ISTE Induction/Refresher Programme on “Innovative Teaching Learning Practices to Achieve Outcome Based Educatand Accreditation” (3rdMay 2018 to 9thMay 2018).
  4. FDP on “Foundation program in ICT for education”(Duration: 3rd August to 7th Sept. 2017).
  5. “College to Corporate Program-Soft Skills” under IIT Bombay Remote Center activity (7 Sept 2017 to 12 Nov 2017).

 Other activities carried out in Electronics Engineering Department (2015-16):

  1. New facilities are created to encourage the research activities in the department as well as across the departments. In this direction, laboratories are upgraded with Labview , National Instruments Hardware in the areas of biomedical, image processing, power electronics & mechtronics, PSIM, Siemens PLC, SCADA, COMSOL, Coventorware, Microheaters and sensimer. R&D facilities in the domain of MEMS, Instrumentation, Biomedical, Image Processing and Power Electronics are created. This investment is of Rs. 47 lakhs done by the department in academic year 2015-16.
  2. The various faculty development programmes organized by the department are
    •  Five week FDP on ‘Advance Technologies in Electronics Engineering: MEMS, Labview, CMOS Analog VLSI Design and ASIC Verification”
    • One week ISTE approved STTP on “Outcome Based Education: Innovative Teaching Learning Practices & Evaluation”
    • One week ISTE approved STTP on “Real Time Digital Signal Processing Using DSP Processor”
  3. ARM sponsored 100 professional licenses of Keil and Lab in a box for the center of excellence in embedded systems
  4. Department signed Mou with wiksate for use of an online platform for assessment of social skills of students. 

Other activities carried out in Electronics Engineering Department (2014-15):

  1. Department organized College-Level ‘Texas Instruments Analog Maker Competition’ at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology in March 2015. The contest was conducted by Texas Instruments University Program in collaboration with S.P.I.T. and Edgate Technologies Bangalore.
  2. The various faculty development programmes organized by the department are
    • AICTE funded two week FDP on “Electronic System Design: From Devices to Applications”
    • One week STTP on “Network and Cyber security with hands-on labs”
    • One week STTP on “Skill Development” for non-teaching staff
    • One week STTP on “Basic Electrical, Electronics and Electrical Machines”
  3. Industrial visit was organized at Dahanu Thermal Power Plant
  4. Internal conference on Communication, Information and Computing Technology (ICCICT) 2015 was organized during 16-17 Jan 2015.

Other activities carried out in Electronics Engineering Department (2013-14)

  1. To promote research in neuromorphic engineering and collaboration between colleges and industry, Electronics engineering department in association with V.J.T.I. (Matunga), C.R.C.E. (Bandra), Eduvance (Ghatkopar) and computer engineering department (S.P.I.T.) started center for research in nueormorphic engineering (CRINE).
  2. Department signed MoU with Eduvance, the educational arm of Vanmat Technologies Pvt. Ltd. under which department received technical support from Cypress Semiconductor Inc. and ARM university program.
  3. Department organized College-Level ‘Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge- India Analog Design Contest 2014’ at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology during 22nd July to 17th August 2013. The contest was conducted by Texas Instruments University Program in collaboration with S.P.I.T. and Cranes Software International Limited.
  4. To train the teachers, Electronics Engineering Department organized ‘One Day Workshop on ARM mbed Platform’, under the aegis of ARM University Program at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology.
  5. Electronics Engineering Department organized One Day Workshop on ‘Semiconductor Device Modeling Using Visual TCAD & GENIUS 3D’, in association with ‘Cadre Design Systems’ Noida on 19th Feb .2014.
  6. Electronics Engineering Department organized Seminar on ‘Multiphysics modeling using COMSOL’ at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology on 23rd Jan. 2014. This seminar was arranged for professors and research scholars.
  7. Skill Development Program (SDP) started in the department which encourages students to work on state of art technologies and pursue their area of interest.
  8. Student Performance Enhancement Scheme (SPES) started in the department through which every student received hardware kit for experimentation
